The solution offered was simple enough to allow for easy costing but would cover the necessary variations in the setup. Our quotation was competitive with the others received during tender (as we were informed after acceptance). We were not the lowest priced provider but we offered the best solution and support options. The customer was happy with our involvement and wanted us to carry out the work.
The time frame to complete the work was quite tight. As with all schools there are only a few times in the year when free access is allowed, summer holidays etc. From our assessment of the work load we needed to do nine weeks worth of work within six weeks. The only way we could accommodate this was to employ more labour on a short term contract basis. Fortunately, we were able to secure installation qualified personnel that would be available during the period required.
