Interactive Whiteboard Installation
Design
The design here was relatively straight forward as all rooms would have the same whiteboard, projector and mounting bracket. The main variations would be ceiling type, height and cable run lengths. These points would need to be surveyed and noted, per room, so that the correct length items could be purchased.
At this point we were asked to provide a generic cost to simplify the quotation and budgeting. After receiving a better break-down of which rooms (in which buildings) would need boards we provided a single price that would cover the cost variations.
Many existing “dry-wipe” boards would need to be moved, where the new interactive boards would be located. This would be done as part of our work and they would be moved or disposed of as required.
Many of the rooms would need additional mains power sockets (for the whiteboard and amplifier power), in addition to the mains and isolation switch needed for the projector (which would be mounted adjacent to the bracket attachment on the ceiling). This work would be carried out by electrical sub-contractors who would be scheduled to lead us around the rooms, obviously, we would need the mains in place before our work could commence.
