Interactive Whiteboard Installation
Assessment
Initially we surveyed several key areas of the school (different buildings) to determine how the systems would be fitted and to understand the room variations. This would allow us to provide a quotation that was appropriate and would cover all of the consideration points, as detailed previously. At this stage we were unsure where the final placement of the boards would be so we needed to ensure our pricing was flexible enough to allow for this.
Pricing is important for all business types and schools specifically operate on a quantity to budget rationale. Therefore, the installations would need to be secure, safe, reliable and cost affective. This can be difficult to balance and can cause problems if price considerations force cheap, low quality components to be used. We would not cut corners in this way and would only offer a reliable solution. Fortunately, economies of scale can be applied, when the quantities are high enough, which would naturally assist this balance.
Additional, in some building asbestos had been found. This was in the ceilings only and at a low percentage. These rooms could still be fitted out but mounting plates would need to be fitted by a qualified asbestos handling company first. The school arranged for this to happen before work commenced, after we had “marked” the exact location these plates would be needed. Placement here is critical for the image size to be correct on the whiteboards.
