Interestingly, now that better data can be retrieved and analysed from each store the customer is reviewing what stock is sold where and tailoring the price structure to suite. The system that was in place prior to the adoption of RMS was not reliable and did not allow easy analysis of stock or sales.
The improvements made here have provided a clean, efficient system that makes data analysis simple and stock control reliable. As with any database system the quality of the data entered is critical, bad data in equals bad data out. With this is mind the rigid structure for data entry forces users to provide all necessary information, it is this “non-negotiable” approach that lays the foundations for worthwhile information for reporting and analysis.
