Design
The routing issues were discussed at length with the architects and council planners. After some compromises on both sides we finally arrived at a solution that was workable and in keeping with the design of the building. This required detailed drawings of all routes showing materials, expected hole sizes and trunking size & type. These documents would now form the basis of all activities from this point.
It was also necessary to upgrade the cabinet for the server and cable patching. This was effectively an upgrade but would offer far greater space for future scheduled servers and better system cooling. During this level of disruption it is prudent to consider future development paths, which would now be covered.
